Our Beginning

IMG_0367.jpg

Yellow Heart Committee was founded in 2019 by N’dea Johnson after her own experience of navigating the legal system to obtain resources promised to trauma survivors. N’dea found a need to better educate the public on the valuable resources available as well as using her interest in politics to demand more from our elected officials.

“The name ‘Yellow Heart’ is in honor of my mother’s favorite color, who passed away from breast cancer. The color yellow represented sunshine, happiness, and joy to her, and that’s what we are trying to bring to survivors everywhere.”

— N’dea johnson, FOUNDER
