MISSION STATEMENT:

Yellow Heart Committee is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization mobilizing to support the holistic mental health of trauma survivors through policy advocacy, education, and community outreach. This is achieved through our pillars of HEART: Healing, Empowerment, Advocacy, Relationships, and Therapy.

  • Healing: We drive the process of healing by creating a safe space and by providing intersectional healing workshops and events for survivors.

  • Empowerment: We empower survivors by amplifying their voices, facilitating personal development, and redefining cultural progress.

  • Advocacy: We use our platform to advocate for survivors through research, policy education, and leadership accountability.

  • Relationships: We foster relationships by building community partnerships and providing survivors with direct access to change makers.

  • Therapy: We aim to de-stigmatize therapy, provide counseling services for low or no cost, and centralize mental health resources to increase access for survivors.

VISION STATEMENT:

Yellow Heart Committee aims to create a world where the barriers between people and policy are broken, and survivors of trauma have access to spaces for holistic healing and comprehensive education.
