About Yellow Heart Committee
Yellow Heart Committee (YHC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization mobilizing to support the holistic mental health of trauma survivors through policy advocacy, education, and community outreach. This is achieved through our pillars of HEART: Healing, Empowerment, Advocacy, Relationships, and Therapy. Yellow Heart Committee aims to create a world where the barriers between people and policy are broken, and survivors of trauma have access to spaces for holistic healing and comprehensive education.

Project Summary
A campaign on de-stigmatizing mental health struggles and trauma within the Latino community, with a focus on field laborers and their families’ unique circumstances in the Fresno area. “Dear Latino Parents'' will begin dialogue to break down the misconceptions and false perceptions of mental health and trauma amongst Fresno field laborers and their families specifically.
We will serve as a bridge to our connections in order to uplift and amplify existing work and voices in Fresno and its surrounding areas. We are all advocates for representation and inclusivity and we recognize our individual privileges that we may all be afforded due to our identities and race.

Curating social media content for the campaign
Learn of the Latino experience surrounding mental health and trauma
Always employing H.E.A.R.T.
While some of our members of YHC are Central Valley natives and Latinx, some are not and do not intend to take up space, those members are there solely to be an ally and uplift this community.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct research and collaborate with community members, subject experts, policymakers, and other professionals to develop quality program and learn about resources for the Latino community and Fresno residents to utilize
Establish feasible timeframes to achieve the goals and objectives outlined in the project
Create stimulating and engaging tools and resources that creatively de-stigmatize mental health and therapy
Develop a range of digital resources to optimize accessibility to the material
Create supplementary material to be distributed by partners, as well as resource packs
Expand networks of community members, leaders, and professionals in the space
Collect feedback from community members
Collaborate with other writers, graphic designers, and web designers to create new learning resources
Qualifications
Top candidates for this role must have:
Be comfortable networking with other organizations for the purpose of cultivating relationships and growing the mission of the project.
Creative and can do a basic canva post
Self starter
Computer-literate
Able to collaborate with multiple individuals at varying levels
Effective in written communication
Social media savvy
