About Yellow Heart Committee

Yellow Heart Committee (YHC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization mobilizing to support the holistic mental health of trauma survivors through policy advocacy, education, and community outreach. This is achieved through our pillars of HEART: Healing, Empowerment, Advocacy, Relationships, and Therapy. Yellow Heart Committee aims to create a world where the barriers between people and policy are broken, and survivors of trauma have access to spaces for holistic healing and comprehensive education.

The Role of Social Media Director

  • Create and execute a social media & marketing strategy to increase brand awareness

  • Create social media calendar

  • Manage website

  • Write monthly newsletter and send emails to our contact list

  • Review analytics and create reports on key metrics

  • Connect with the rest of YHC to highlight internal work that is being done

  • Seek collaborations with online platforms 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in areas such as marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field of study.

  • At least 1 year of content creating experience

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Must know how to use Canva

  • Must be able to work both collaboratively and independently

  • Leadership skills and an ability to coach and mentor staff, board members, and volunteers in achieving goals.
